Everything a serious blog needs. Nothing it doesn't.

The defaults are good. The customization is real. No paywalls, no telemetry, no vendor lock-in.

Drafts and archives

Write at your own pace, save in progress, publish when ready. Archive older posts with ease and search across everything.

Tags and featured posts

Group writing by theme. Pin pieces you want a new visitor to read first. Build a reading experience the way you want it.

Real CMS, in your browser

Drag-and-drop image uploads, visual editing, draft mode. Saves straight to your repo as plain markdown anyone can read.

Full SEO and RSS

Meta tags, structured data, RSS feed, sitemap, all set up on day one. Search engines find you, readers can subscribe.

Light and dark mode

Both themes, designed with the same care. Set it once in the CMS and it applies sitewide. No code needed to switch.

Custom branding

Change colors, fonts, the favicon, the footer copy. Make it look like yours, or leave the warm defaults as they are.

Questions

Everything you might be wondering.

Is AminaPad really free?
Yes. The template is free. Cloudflare Pages hosting is free under any reasonable usage. Pages CMS is free. There is no upgrade path, no surprise pricing. The whole stack stays at zero dollars.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. The setup is five clicks and one paste. After that, you write in a browser-based editor that looks and feels like any other CMS. The only thing you might paste once is a URL.
Who owns my content?
You do, absolutely. Posts are plain markdown files in your own repo. Images are in your repo. The site is on your Cloudflare account, on your domain. If any of these services ever changed terms, your writing is sitting in a folder, ready to move anywhere.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. Cloudflare Pages supports custom domains for free. Buy a domain anywhere you like, add it under Custom Domains in the Cloudflare dashboard, and update your Site URL in Pages CMS so RSS and the sitemap point to the right place. The whole thing takes a few minutes.
What happens when AminaPad updates?
Your posts and uploaded images live in two folders that updates never touch: src/content/ and public/images/uploads/. Everything else can be safely overwritten with the new version, and your writing stays exactly where it is.
Is there a mobile app for writing?
No app, but Pages CMS works in any mobile browser. Drafts saved on your phone show up on your laptop and vice versa. The editor is mobile-friendly enough to write your first drafts on the go.
Can I migrate posts from somewhere else?
If your current platform exports markdown, yes, drop it in. If it exports HTML, a one-time conversion gets it to markdown. Most platforms have a markdown export option somewhere in their settings.
What if I want help setting it up?
Kogzy, the studio behind AminaPad, offers paid setup-as-a-service for writers who'd rather not click through it themselves. Contact through kogzy.com. The template itself is and stays free.

Your blog, your words, your URL.

Free forever. No code. No platform between you and your reader. The first post is waiting.
